HOOT Creative Arts 6/7
In 2015 I was one of 12 artists working with HOOT creative arts on their new ‘Going Sane’ project. It consisted of a 10 session workshop in which I collaborated with Huddersfield textile artist, Leanne Woodward. We delivered the ten sessions to a group of careers who were being supported by a charity called Carers Count. The sessions were opportunities for these individuals who had given so much of themselves to the support of others to do something creative for themselves. It was amazing to see how each individual benefited from the time we spent together and some fabulous artwork was produced as a result.
I also had the opportunity to work on an individual piece. I produced a large acrylic painting titled ‘Body/Spirit, Seen/Unseen’.
